Ashley and I had been exchanging emails for months and I just couldn’t wait to meet her and her fiance, Doug.  Do you know that feeling when you just click with someone?  Ashley and I chatted via email like old friends, sharing in all of the details and excitement of their engagement. I just knew that I would love her and Doug even before I met them!

Just days before their Shady Lane engagement session we saw a string of thunderstorms appear in the forecast, and tried not to panic.  We settled on waiting it out and prayed for clear skies. Thankfully, after a thunderous storm rolled through, the clouds cleared and the sun sparkled across the wet lawn at the estate.

It was a beautiful evening full of laughter, twirling and sweet, quiet moments. Ashley and Doug, you exude joy and your love for one another is so evident. It was such a privilege to meet you and photograph your engagement!  Thank you for sharing your evening with me…I cannot wait till your May 2017 wedding!
